What is Leadership?
According to President Dwight Eisenhower, "...a sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with people, of getting things done."
Hilary Owen, in USATODAY.com, defined it this way: "Leadership is a journey of discovery. It is the expression of a person at his or her best whose aim is to transform something for the better and to develop this potential in others. It is not a solitary pursuit but one that harnesses the energy of those around you."
The practice and art of improvisation gives access to all the necessary skills one needs to lead effectively----a sense of purpose and passion; the ability to not just listen to all others but truly hear what they have to say; and the courage to create and think outside the box; and to learn from past mistakes and use the synergy of the moment to be truly wise with your team.
